Also, the tiny harbor lying on Seacliff is quite a notable tourist attraction that is worth exploring. The harbor was created in 1890 by carving out limestone. There is one more castle ruined in the Seacliff named the Auldhame Castle. Don’t forget to visit the Seacliff Seacliff House which was built in 1750 and unfortunately, it’s half-ruined.

Reaching here can be quite tricky as there is no direct road connected to the beach. You can only reach here on foot by completing a four-mile walk that starts from the hamlet of Blairmore. The visitors are advised to wear waterproof and protective shoes as the trail is flat.

It is the most popular site for watersports in Aviemore. In 2009, the beach was awarded Seaside Award by the Keep Scotland Beautiful campaign. It is also the highest beach with a massive height of 300 meters above sea level. 

The Loch Morlich beach is surrounded by majestic mountains and ancient Glenmore forests where plenty of wild animals can be spotted. You can also swim in Loch Morlich but make sure it goes deep as you swim further. Don’t forget to bring towel and warm clothes as the water is quite frigid.

The beach was featured in the 1983 Hollywood Movie “Local Hero” starring Burt Lancaster in the main lead.

What makes this beach unique and attractive is the dazzling green waters which remain cold even in warm seasons.  

Camusdarach beach is an ideal place to soak up the sun instead of going swimming or bathing.
